enhanced locate with find s file selection criteria ?

hello there
locate is pretty cool one can locate files fastly
but how if i'd like to locate files matching certain criteria like
size , ownership etc
i know i can use find / -size etc ...
but it s quite slow
would an enhanced locate with file selection criteria like those of find
exist ?
how would u locate files matching certain criteria in the entire virtual
filesystem ?
