Hi all,
I'm having trouble printing stuff out under Linux. It happens with
both a2ps and Firefox, suggesting a common problem at a more basic
level.
When printing a document that includes fixed-width (i.e. Courier)
text, the fixed-width text takes more space than has been left for it,
and either overlaps the edge of the box (with a2ps) or overwrites
following non-fixed-width text (e.g. times) on the same line.
Presumably, something somewhere is calculating that 'x' space is
required, but the actual text is taking up more space than that, and
overlapping as a result.
I'm using Fedora Core 3 and Turboprint, pretty much 'as is'; I'd
appreciate some pointers as to which part of the printing subsystem
(or whatever else it might be) I should be looking at. Thanks in
advance!
