Burning a Live DVD ISO IMage For Suse and Santa Fe

I've successfully downloaded the Live CD iso images for
Santa Fe and Suse.

I've burned these images on to CDs and DVDs but for the love
of Pete I can't get them to boot.

I've gone into my CMOS and enabled the CD to boot first
but instead of the live DVD that boots I just get a normal
boot from my pc of Windows XP.

How do I get these Iso images to boot the way they are supposed
to on the DVD and/or CD?
