They should also tell you at least a likely address range that your host
will be located at. IMMEDIATELY check that address space with the various
block lists. Another wise idea is to use network tools like 'whois' to
find the address ranges that a prospective hosting company has, and who
their upstream may be. Then do a search in news.admin.net-abuse.* (pay
particular attention to .sightings and .blacklists) for those addresses
and domains. Better to avoid a contract with a tainted supplier than
to try to get block listings lifted.
