Hi, I've been trying to install xemacs but it doesn't seem to be
working. The error message I get is:
*** PANIC *** configure forgot how to build working executables!
The output of ./configure and config.log are below. It all looks Greek
to me (ex-Windows user).
How do I start to understand the Linux O/S and how things work? I don't
understand most of the lines output by ./configure, make and so on.
Also, if I've made a mess of installing some programs as root, how do I
100% undo all the changes the installation made (like directories made,
files copied, etc.)?
