I recently tried out suse9.3 on my windowsXP box and was pleasantly
surprised when the installer correctly RESIZED MY WINDOWS NTFS partition
to make room for itself. After it made room it all installed fine and
later i successfully rebooted into windows or suse at will.
This opens up many options, you can either get suse9.3 distro (from
linuxcd.org it is much cheaper than partition magic would be) OR you can
find out what utility suse yast is using to resize NTFS partitions, boot
a knoppix disk and do that yourself then install distro of choice!
