Ok, so I've been playing around with various Linux distros for awhile
now, and so far I've settled on three:

Fedora Core 3
UBuntu 5.04
PCLinuxOS 8.1a

I'm not looking for anything specific in any Linux distros, just
something that has GNOME/KDE, Firefox, OpenOffice and a few other
applications.

So what's the best (free) Linux distro out there?

I'm not partial to any one distro, whether it's Debian based, Slackware
based or Red Hat/Gentoo based.
