Hi All,
I am running White Box Enterprise Linux 4 (WBEL4),
which is the same thing as Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4
(RHEL4), only cheaper. WBEL4 is based on Fedora Core 3.
This was a clean install over WBEL3.
I noticed when I first fired WBEL4 up, it had a nice
boot up graphic with a status bar telling me how
the boot was going. I liked it.
But I didn't like inittab level 5, so I changed it to
inittab level 3. (I work on a lot of servers
and want to log in at the command line.)
When I changed it to inittab level 3, I lost my
pretty start up graphic. Question: is there a way
to get the level 5 graphic at boot, but default to
the level 3 command line when it is finished?
Many thanks,
--Tony
