How is IM any more peer-to-peer than IRC? All the IM systems I
know about (MSN, AIM, Yahoo, Jabber) use a central server: you
have to get an account on the sever and log in, and then all
message traffic goes through the server. I've seen other
references to IM being a "p2p" application, but I just don't
understand why people say that.
