Your modem should be /dev/ttySX where 'X' = COM# - 1...so com3 is
ttyS2. Once you figure out which it is you can create a link to it:
ln -s /dev/ttyS2 /dev/modem
If it is a real modem you will not need any extra drivers. You will of
course need the standard serial stuff and pppd.
