(Note: posted on the O.O. forum but no one has an answer so I try here)
Running Kanotix (Debian clone) with 2.6.11 kernel and KDE 3.4
Every other time I open a document in OO 1.9 (beta) Writer the fonts are
jagged and not spaced correctly. I've tested this over and over with odt,
swx, doc files. First open is bad. I close, re-open and file looks great.
Close and re-open and fonts look ragged.
I've tried from a console as well. No difference. Very strange.
It has nothing to do with the file. I've tired using alternating .odt files,
as well as .swx files. After boot up the first open of OO is 'bad', second
open is good, third is bad, and so on. Fonts are jagged and not rendered
correctly with respect to leading etc.
It seems to me that a 'good' open does not do something 'important' when it
is closed. The next open realizes this and fixes it but still displays the
file badly. The next open is good because the previous open fixed it....
but it will break again on the close. Just a guess.
I know it is beta, but I'm going nuts trying to figure out what might cause
this. Any ideas?
