Probably not. If you follow the distros clickety-click procedures, all
it does is ask you for the root password and then does the work for you,
and you end up with a new menu entry.

Sure, there will be lamers who run as root, and maybe some dumb enough
to try UNIX commands without knowing what is going on.

At worst, Linux might be forced to follow the path to OS X, which, if
you are to believe the Snit-like beings, is even easier to use than
Windows. If this is ture, then "perpertual september" will never
happen.

In any case, OS X is out there and presumably already providing guidance
to Linux writers.
