Xemacs crashed on me while I was trying to open an ssh shell into a
machine which refused authorization. Now I can't kill the Xemacs process.
Here is the output from ps -aux
me 7097 0.0 1.1 119488 38932 ? D 11:57 0:08 xemacs
I've tried
kill 7097
kill -9 7097
I've also tried doing it from gnome-system-monitor and as root. The
process is immortal. How do I drive a stake through it's heart?
The system is Fedora Core 3 with the latest FC 2.6.12 SMP kernel.
