Nope. Our server rooms used to be filled with tables stacked with Sparc
Stations of various ages and such, piled four high with a Wyse terminal
and several cascaded A/B/C/D switches per table connecting to the serial
ports. When we started going harder into Linux (and *BSD), we transitioned
to Intel hardware, but use it in much the same way. Using retired work
stations makes sense, as the users keep demanding bigger hardware all
the time, and the "old" stuff isn't that bad (not chucked into the
dumpster where I could save it for "other" uses, unfortunately).

We've looked at blade servers, but they seem awful expensive when compared
to the mini-towers we've been using lately. There is also the problem of
trying to keep things cool, which is doubly hard here in the summer. The
disks tend to get put in outboard cabinets with fairly stiff fans in them,
and that does improve the chance of them staying alive. Noisey perhaps,
but you're not supposed to be in the server rooms that much.
