Re: Toshiba laptop display probs

apologies for posting back before trying every advice; i'll be able to
do that a bit later

In the mean time, a couple of things:

1) With regards to
http://www.celifornia.com/documents/laptop-7140CT.htm : I had seen this
sample before; however, because, by way of cycling through the video
modes, i arrive at what appears to be a fully functional GUI, with
display, mouse and even movie playing OK, I thought that my xorg.conf
file should be OK. I will try the settings in the sample.

2) With regards to my RAM: I have 320MB (apparently the max for this
machine, and, incidentally, beyond the original Toshiba specs (192MB))
