How2 fix IDE so that DOS can see hdc1 which linux can ?

Hi,

All my IDE's [except the newest 80 GB] on all my boxes are
'damaged'. I normally boot from fd0. Linux is my 2nd OS.
Oberon-S3 is my first/main OS.

Sometimes we need to use M$win to see stuff sent to us.
I've got space to 'install' W98 on my hdc1[s] which is
already vfat formated and can be read/write by linux.

When I buy a new IDE, I allocate the first partiton for
vfat/DOS. Then after I've allocated further partitions to
linux and Oberon-S3 [many small partitions], I can't get
DOS to read the first partition, although linux can.

Using DOS's fdisk on the first partiton, may lose all my other
partitions !

Are there any linux tools to fix this problem ?

Thanks for any info/advice.

== Chris Glur.
