Hi..

I am using Fedora core 4.
With a soundblaster 1024 live player or a name similar to this.

Since a few days the sound via the speakers does not work.
The sound via the headset still works.
But the volume of the headset can only be changed by the KMIX "WAVE
SURROUND" slider.
The sound can not be changed by any of the other slider or selections in the
output, input or switches tabs.

It is unclear when it exactly started.
I have done "yum -y update" shortly before i noticed the sound was gone.
And i compiled the kernel with i2c-parport and i2c-dev.
But the sound now works with none of the kernels.

I have checked the speakers by connecting a frequency generator on the input
cable. Speakers work.

What could be the problem ?
How can it be solved ?

Thanks..
