Hello

I am using the SystemRecoveryCD which uses a small linux distro booted off a
CD. I am using on a Dell PowerEdge 2600 with a LSI Logic 1020/1030 Ultra320
SCSI adapter. I think it is a RAID controller.

The system boots off the SystemRecoveryCD but when I run Partimage it does
not see any disks. I think this must be because it has not detected the
SCSI controller. I am fairly new to Linux so not sure how I would load the
SCSI driver for this SCSI card. So my questions are:

1. Can I dynamically load the SCSI drivers after I have booted up into Linux
(from the CD) or do I need to incorporate the loading of the SCSI drivers
into the CD?

2. If I can dynamically load drivers how? modprobe or something like that?

3. Presumably I would find the LSI Linux SCSI drivers on the LSI website?
Where best place to look?

4. Am I thinking along the right lines here.

Basically I have a Windows server on this Dell and the disk is about to
fail. I want to use partimage to make a copy of the disk and then write to
an identical new disk. Should this work OK?
