kernel 2.6.12
cups-1.1.22
I am printing to an SMB printer that is shared from a Windows 2000 server.
The printer is an HP LaserJet 2200. I am also using cups.
It seems that if there are any images ( e.g. diagrams from a webpage, etc )
when printing, the job takes a loong time. In fact, looking at the job from
the windows server says that the size of the file is actually quite large,
( like tens of megabytes ).
Whereas if I print the same page from windows, it is actually quite fast,
and the file size is small.
I am thinking that the problem is postscript is the one generating such a
large file ... but what can be done ??
