It's "for example", written phonetically and with a typo (missing
space between the words - or maybe he meant to run it together).
Surely merely missing a space and apostrophizing the "for" doesn't
make it unreadable!

I presume you mean /usr/lib/X11. It's a symlink.

None. It's a symlink - it takes no space.
