It never occurred to me that NTFS compatibility would be a problem,
except for maybe certain distros. No problems dedicating a boot
partition,and I do have a couple FAT32 partitions, but if NTFS drivers
aren't stable yet maybe I'll wait until they are.

Just curious...why would Linux use FAT32 instead of NTFS? Given
the amount of development effort it can't be due to man-hours.

In the past I've had some partition failures that Maxtor techs have
blamed on FAT32. Of course it couldn't have been due to Maxtor
drives <g>. In any event, I don't trust FAT32 as much.
