Yes, but some people want a package to install almost instantly and
even waiting around for an hour to compile the thing is unreasonable.
People want their stuff to work instantly. In other words, you should
be able to download something with your broadband connection and
install it in a matter of seconds or minutes, not hours. Not to
mention that reading the documentation and setting up a proper build
environment is a royal pain compared to the few clicks that are
required to install a binary under ideal conditions.
