Log the output of a terminal

Hello,

I want to log all the outputs of a terminal. The programs 'screen'
can do this (C-a H) by writing the output into 'screenlog.X', however,
it does not suppress the escape chars(colors for example). How can I
tune screen to omit those escape chars or any other tool?
