OK I compiled a new kernel and done 100ed other tries. Now he is

Idea: Google "nfs error 13". Seems there could be a permissions issue. Idea: Quote the exact error message. I might try to look it up in the source. Idea: Tell what you are doing. What commands, what files. What server, what client. No, not the hostnames. The kind of computer, the software versions, the exports options, the mount options. Something we could base our reasoning on. Idea: Tell in what way your kernel config is different from plain vanilla. (But I suspect it isn't so relevant in this particular case.) Idea: Drop telling us about the 100ed tries, unless you are also prepared to tell what you tried and what the outcome was. Some of the thinking behind the tries may also be usefull, provided that does not replace the actual facts and results. (Though yes, I do understand that having to try 100ed things with few results is painfull. You probably feel like smashing the computer and doing something else instead.) Idea: Tell us what distro you are using, what kind of computer, and what kernel version you compiled. 123456789 123456789 123456789 123456789 123456789 123456789 123456789 123456789 Idea: Active responders here do not use Google Groups. (Well, what do I know, perhaps some do. But I know a couple that say they don't. I know of none who says he or she does. I don't.) It takes me special effort to find your previous post. Don't assume I will remember it. Quote, or repeat relevant information. Hint: in Google, next to the article headers, there is a link "Show Options". The new "Reply" link that appears works differently from the one below the article.

How did you solve the Grub problem, by the way?
