With enough RAM (>=128 MB) the system will run debian sarge with
kernel 2.6 and KDE 3 just fine and reasonable fast. Just don't
use some of the more bloated distro. IMO suse is the slowest you
can get your hands on and you can expect tons of kernel
modifications with it.
