assuming you are using KDE as your desktop (or have i lost track in
this thread) - it's very easy to open a 'konsole', adjust the
parameters (themes/fonts) to your liking and run 'su' or 'sudo'
commands. Hover your mouse over the Desktop icon area that's 'very
similar' to a winblows QuickLaunch area - see the small black box -
that's the konsole.
