Indeed. And no need to apologize for others. This is usenet after all.
There's two types of trolls. Ones who are clearly trolls, and others
who, through their own knowledge, troll just the same.

Its just as easy to say "Are you sure you want to do this? Here's why
that might be a bad idea..." But I dont care to teach anyone people
skills here. Im sure he's loaded with friends.

Are you guys inundated with trolls? That seems to be the common
response to any question around here. I dont mind saying this... people
want to try out linux, but it *is* more challenging than Windows
(apparently by design). And its sad to see folks run into people with
attitude, when they are asking - from their point of view - simple
questions. It makes them turn against the whole scene. This certainly
doesnt help Linux become the #1 desktop OS. I, on the other hand, am
about as impressed with Linux as I am Windows, so I dont care for
pissing contests as to which is better. For me, its all about the
applications and software.

Well, I dont mind having /home on a separate partition, and I see why
it is suggested. But Im just poking with a VM installation of linux;
permanency (if thats a word) isnt what Im really concerned with. But
thanks for the information.
