Yes, I know .. it is a Windows user approach.

However, I figured that the person must be a very new user and one who
possibly did not understand the installation process (and who had not
RTFM). That taken together with the thought that he must be a Windows
user trying out Linux caused me to point him in a Windows-Like
direction for his first baby steps.

So now, the OP knows that the "best" way to solve a configuration
problem with Linux is to re-install just like with Windoze. Well done!
