Hi everybody!
I am formating this computer for my sister. Now this computer is very
old 500 MHz and 128mb. I am installing windows 98 and I would also like
to install a very light version of linux. Which distribution of Linux,
perferbably one that has a graphical interface, do you suggest.
Thank You.
Try Damn Small Linux. I have a 128MB RAM PC as well. Very hard to
upgrade the RAM as it is RDRAM and for the cost of a matched pair I'm
almost halfway to buying a new low end budget comp that will trounce
the old one in every regard.
With DSL you can monitor CPU/memory usage immediately on the top right
corner of the screen. The distro never pushed my poor old backup PC
:-). DSL is fine if you want to do some web browsing, text editing and
music listening whilst your main PC is busy.
