I am having trouble invoking the IME in a kterm window in a Red Hat
Enterprise Linux AS 4.0 environment. When the LANG is set to
ja_JP.eucJP. I start the kterm window by entering "kterm -xim". When
the kterm comes up I can invoke the IME entering CTRL-SPACE. The
problem is if I enter SHIFT-SPACE, CTRL-SPACE no longer works. I can
only restore this functionality by going to another terminal such as a
gnome-terminal and entering CTRL-SPACE or SHIFT_SPACE. When the LANG is
set to ja_JP.sjis nothing can invoke the IME from kterm. It will only
work in an xterm (CTRL-SPACE only) or gnome-terminal (CTRL-SPACE and
SHIFT-SPACE WORKS).
