I had tried to read the man pages ,but it so long and my poor english
is not good enough to get something usefull, except I can use wget -r
www.xyz.org to load the whole website, so I came here to look for a
quick help.
From the man page:-A acclist / -R rejlist --accept=acclist / --reject=rejlist
Comma-separated list of extensions to accept/reject. For example, if you
wish to download only GIFs and JPEGs, you will use -A gif, jpg, jpeg. If you
wish to download everything except cumbersome MPEGs and .AU files, you will
use -R mpg,mpeg,au.
The above indicates that to download all jpeg files in your example, you
need:
wget -r -A jpg,jpeg www.xyz.org
or
wget -r --accept=jpg,jpeg www.xyz.org
Be advised that the -r recursion descends 5 levels; you might wish to
additionally use the -l option to vary that depth.
