I've been trying to print an envelope from the envelope feeder on an HP
OfficeJet but it always gets the orientation wrong. I'm using FC4, the
latest HP drivers and the latest version of OpenOffice. I've tried both
portrait and landscape mode, it makes no difference. I have no trouble
doing it from Word on Win4Lin but I'd like to be able to do it from a
native Linux app.
Have you tried all the different settings.... right feed, center feed, etc.
On my ancient HP 5P while the OO icon shows left feed which is what my
printer does, only when I use the right-feed setting does it work. Of
course you also have to remember to set the Envelope to #10 (if that is
what you use.) I didn't mess with landscape or portrait modes.
Also, do the 'insert new doc' method. Once it works, save the envelope
document and then you can pull it up again and just change the address...
like any other document.
