Re: How to find the glibc version in linux

On Friday 24 March 2006 00:18, akhila stood up and spoke the following
words to the masses in /comp.os.linux.misc...:/

Can any one tell me how to find the version of glibc in a linux box.

man glib-config

Also i need command to find the list of packages installed in the
linux machine.

Depending on the distribution and the type of packager, see one of the
/man/ /pages/ below...

* RedHat and Fedora Core:
man rpm
* Mandriva and derivatives
man urpmi
* Debian and derivatives
man apt-get
* SuSE
man yum
* Gentoo
man equery

Hope this helps... ;-)
