That is using DJGPP, although I concede you are accurate for most

Yup, assuming present. Also info, most unix utilities (grep, less,
etc.). I have info set to open a new command line window and
operate therein, autoclosing it on exit. Using 4dos as the command
processor I also have aliases, so everything can be made convenient
from the command line.
