Hi all,

I was wondering about the feature of WinXP that allows you to "share"
dial-up Internet connections. Does this turn the WinXP box into a
gateway or just a HTTP proxy server? How would I access this shared
connection via a Linux box that is connected to the WinXP box on a LAN?

I used to do this with a W98 box with an internal DSL modem for which
there was no Linux driver. Set 'internet connectin sharing' on the MS box,
tell Linux to use that machine as a gateway.
