What disgusts me is being forced to do something useless and irrelevant when I could be doing something much better for disabled people - of whom I know more than a few, being of the age when ones parents are either dead, or practically halfway there.... how many hours do YOU spend helping people in and out of cars, doing their shopping for them, selling their houses for them, running them around to see people they can't otherwise get to, moving their houses for them, repairing their fridges and changing their lightbulbs.
Of course, since teh UK government now insists that all power sockets are between 450mm and 1.2m from the ground, these elderly folk can all plug their COMPUTERS in and surf porn sites all day..in Braille..yeah, right. Fer chrissake they can't even walk their DOGS anymore.
Get real. Charity begins at home. Not in petty legislation lobbied for by some bloody stupid bunch of political activists trying to bend the world to fit their particular lack of ability.
