Thanks for the reply. I have PCLinuxOS. (http://www.pclinuxos.com/page.php?6)I went through the KDE Partition tool through which I formatted and mounted the partition. I have been back and forth to WinXP and Linux through the day. Back on WinXP right now. I will have to look up the information you kindly provided.
The other questions and answers I can probably get at the PCLOS from other users of the system on their forum. The other thing I believe would be in my best interest is to go slow and get reading material to help on the in-depth stuff. By the time I run all the material off the internet I will have gone through a great deal of printer ink ($$).
