seeing internet usage

i use kinternet to connect to the net using dial-up. Now as it is
pay-per-usage-time billing, i wish to see how long have i been
connected to the net. Kinternet doesn't have any option for this!!! I
scoured through the configurations, but in vain :(

please give me a solution to this...(other than switching on a stop
watch :D )
