Although RH9 is no longer supported by Red Hat, you may have valid reasons
for not having gone with a "current" distribution ... If you stay with
RH9 (and especially if your computer is connected to the Internet), I
would strongly suggest installing YUM from the Fedora Legacy Project...
Such that you can apply the Project Updates (most addressing Security
Issues since Red Hat dropped their support), otherwise you maybe leaving
yourself vulnerable to attacks!!!
