Here's a book like I am looking for but this one does not have great feedback on amazon.Dunno about a book, I do know I was much helped by the Securityfocus' primers on setting up Apache, Mysql and PHP securely. See their website.

I want an easy to follow hot-to book - step by step - for setting up firewall, apache, php and mysql on a *nix platform. the OS would already be installed for me by the host.
Something like this course (http://www.sans.org/onsite/description.php?tid=280) in book form.
Any ideas or recommendations are much appreciated!
Before buying any computer related book these days I first have a peek at a downloaded ebook copy before I decide to buy. I've spent way too much cash on treeware that turned out to be rather useless.
Mininova.org and isohunt.com have many ebooks/ebook collections in their db's. You'd need a bittorrent client to download them of course.
Since printing takes a lot of time and money (often more than the list price of the book itself) and reading onscreen still isn't my idea of fun I still prefer getting myself a hardcopy of any good book. YMMV
