What webcam brand/type do you have?
USB2 support hasn't been superb -or absent- in older kernels, since
kernel 2.6 many of the issues have been adequately resolved. Do you have
a particular need for USB2, or is it just something you would like ?

I haven't got my webcam handy here, if I recall correctly it does
support USB2.0 on linux. I own a Philips TOUcam, some pro edition, not
sure which exactly. (Never lend people your stuff, you never get it
back, or is that just me?)

If a child annoys you, quiet him by brushing his hair. If this doesn't
work, use the other side of the brush on the other end of the child.
