ssh to mySql to use admin/query browser

Hi all,

I'm trying to get mySQL admin setup to work with my hosting service via
ssh. Got it working on my windows machine using secureCRT - so it seems
everything is in place for it to work. Now i'm trying on my OSX
machine

Here's what i do:

ssh -p 1234 -L 3306:localhost:3306 myuse...@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

where 1234 is a non-standard ssh port number. The connection happens
fine - then i try to log into mySql Administrator.

Error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket
'/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) (code 2002)
