Is there something like that or am I hopeless?
To be honest, I do not know the answer to your direct question, but I have
experience with both (1) voice recognition/dictation software (albeit for
other platforms), and (2) writing books. IMHO, such software will actually
make the job more difficult in the long run.
The really hard part of writing a book is not the creation of the initial
draft. Rather, the hard part comes from the hours upon hours you will
spend editing and proofreading to create a finished manuscript. Dictating
a first draft might be useful, but such software is all but useless when it
comes to editing.
I'm afraid you might as well get used to the idea --- your fingers are going
to fall off before you finish this project. Personally, I've gotten pretty
good at typing with my nose, don't you agree?
BTW: Is it a novel or non-fiction?
