HI
I'm running a FedoraCore5 Machine... Can anyone tell me if i can
actually select the destination folder where i want my package to be
installed????
FOr most packages no, you cannot select the directory. For some you can.
man rpm
Look up the relocate option.
for instance, say i want to install anaconda in /mnt/new , how do i go
about doing it???
And you would want to do this why? It has been compiled with one set of
directories in mind, and it is not clear it will be able to find its parts
if you stick it elsewhere.
