Go Easy on me!
I want to try linux out as an alternative to using Windows XP.
I have tried to install both Mandriva and Ubuntu on my laptop but both
failed during installation (Ubuntu just blank screened on me and
Mandriva came up with an error).
Laptop is less than 2 years old so I would have thought it wouldn't be
a driver issue (ASUS 2500D if that has any relevence).
Anyway - my query is this - these 2 failed, any suggestions on another
distro to try as a relative noob in the linux world?
