rgv2502@xxxxxxxxx <rgv2502@xxxxxxxxx>:
When I connected to my OpenBSD box through SSH, I am constantly annoyed
by various messages that display on my shell session, from when people
logon, to firewall rules.... Is there a command to supress messages for
a certain shell session????
mesg n ?
You might want to slap syslog into line, telling it to log messages to
a file, not to consoles. /etc/syslog.conf - Just comment out any
line that mentions "tty", then "kill -HUP $(pidof syslogd)".
