Re: Opening Kuickshow in a given directory

On Thu, 10 Aug 2006 20:50:32 -0400, Yugo staggered into the Black Sun
and said:
Everytime I open Kuickshow, I have to select my photo directory. There
must be some way to have it open showing a selected directory. I've
checked all the menus, read help, Googled for about half an hour and I
can't find a way to achieve this utmostly complex goal.

samantha:~/Text$ kuickshow /home/me/pics/

....is that what you wanted? Or did you mean the --lastfolder option to
kuickshow that you see when you execute kuickshow --help ?

I've used Linux for almost five years now. Is it finally possible
that, despite all the hype, Linux is not where it's at?

I don't know what you want to have happen here. However, I have Konq
set up so that middle-clicking an image file opens kuickshow, to that
image, in that directory. Then I use the keyboard shortcuts to
navigate; no problem. You can do that, or you can do what I described
above, or you can do something completely different. All you have to do
is figure out what you want, then Read The Fine Manual and play around a
bit to figure out how to achieve that. HTH,
