Fedora 4, have to reconfigure Internet settings evertime I acces the internet.

Hi,
Maybe I just haven't looked hard enough, but I find I have to reconfigure a
modem, dialup settigs, user id, and password everytime to activate a
conenction and commence a dial up internet session using evolution and
firefox.
Please help, soemone ! i've probably missed soemthing soemwhere but can
soemone through this clueless newbie a clue?
