IF you mean it can't boot from the specific Adaptec cards you have in them, then it could never have booted any other OS from them either, could it ?

I have never encountered this issue with any HP/Compaq servers I have used - provided they were real servers, and support chaining the SCSI BIOS (as any server should).

Please elaborate.
