Hi all,
I am a linux newbie but successfully managed to dual boot and get the
network/internet running. I then went on to update the system with
yum, but after the reboot on entering the updated kernel the system
hungs. The screen displays:
Booting 'Fedora Core (2.6.17-1.2174_FC5)'
...
Uncompressing Linux ...Ok, booting the kernel.
Red Hat nash version 5.0.32 starting
and hungs???!!!
I suppose it should be detecting my HDDs after the last line but that
is not happening. Everything runs smoothly with the default
2.6.15-1.2054_FC5 kernel and i don't know how to fix this. If the same
question has already been answered please point to the relevant post or

Thanks in advance,

Hello Nick.
Take a look at:
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=120397&highlight=zorro
and see if your problem looks similar.
Summary is reinstall using the "linux nodmraid" option and then update.

Graham
